The Michigan Daily: Faces of an Invisible Identity: What does it mean to be a first generation college student on campus? [Audio]

I partnered with a photographer to use audio, photos and reporting to tell the stories of first-generation students at the University of Michigan.

Michigan Radio: The Public Library in an Internet Age

I pitched and produced this series on libraries with another intern in August 2015. We road-tripped around Michigan and visited several libraries to report on what they are like in a digital age.

The Michigan Daily: Talking sexual assault: analyzing climate trends at the University

I wrote this story analyzing the University of Michigan's changing campus climate on sexual assault and designed graphics to supplement my reporting. I also created a timeline.js. (The link is to a web archive page because some elements were lost when The Michigan Daily debuted its new site.)

WDET: Detroit Park Watch

During May and June 2014, I interned at WDET, an NPR affiliate in Detroit, Mich. and worked on Detroit Park Watch, an interactive, community-driven project to track park maintenance throughout the city. I used Groundsource to engage with residents. auto-updated a Google map with Google form responses and traveled around the city photographing and reporting on park conditions.
